Let's  talk  about   Eloise  and what  I  drew my inspiration from.....

But   before I  telll the  tale of  Eloise.....  I would like to  take this opportunity to   introduce you  to my  newest   Sunshine  Design Team Member...... Aletha!

Here is  her   wonderful  Eloise  creation... . and  you  can  find out more   about  this   wonderful   designer  at her   "darker" blog.

Now  on to the   tale of  Eloise.

Eloise  Asylum is  a  bit of  Dark  History  for   Michigan.

Here is  a  great   link  about this  haunted  Asylum.   Freeman B. Dickerson, named this   asylum  after his   four year old  daughter.

There is  very  little   that  remains   standing.  Here  are   recent  pictures  which I   took   of  Eloise's  Red House and  the  factory  buildings.

I hope you   enjoyed this  bit of  history and  what   was my   inspiration for this  haunting  Curiosities character.

Until next time....
Lady Heather

Friday The 13th. Lady Heather's Curiosities Debuts.

It's Friday the 13th.

Considered to be  a  very unlucky  day. But  today  at  Lacy Sunshine Stamps we  consider it to be a  very lucky day for....  our artist Heather Valentin's   dark  alter   ego "Lady Heather" has resurfaced to the world, from her  elusive chambers, bringing  to us  her "Curiosities Collection."

Words  that come to mind when  used to  describe this  deliciously  dark  yet  fun  collection  are....

Hauntingly beautiful.  Shadowy.  Gothic.  Scary yet  fun.

Those  of you   who appreciate the  darker  side of things, will  love this new  collection.

And for those  looking  for   misplaced  souls, zombies and other oddities  for your  Halloween cards and projects will love this  section too.

Now  before  we   journey any  farther into the  dark  mind of Lady Heather.... let it be  known  Lacy Sunshine is only  stepping into the  shadows  for this  superstitious day and  of  course   Halloween.  Lacy Sunshine  will  return to   its  bright  sunshiny  self tonight at  midnight the  witching hour.

Now  let's  take a look  at the  deliciously  haunting, mysterious and  fun  inspirations our  Design Team has  created  with the "Curiosities".

What  fantastic inspirations from  various member's   of our Lacy Sunshine Design Team.

At this time I  would also like to say ... Thank you to my wonderful dt  for  all your  hard  work and  dedication.

Now let's journey on to  see some of the NEW  Lady Heather's Curiosities Digis  that are  debuting today. Some have a  very interesting history... which  throughout the  day    you will learn  about in  other posts made on this blog.

Let's meet......  Eloise.
Lady Heather  drew  her inspiration   for this character from  the  haunted Eloise Asylum in  Michigan.

Next .... meet  Sadie.
Lady Heather   drew inspiration  for this character   from a  chilling    haunted tale from  North Carolina....  which  will be revealed to you  later on.

Meet Myra Mains...... Take a look  at the  name and  say it  slowly( wink). Did you get it? My Remains. ( just a  lil dark  humor, which I  got from my  dad.)

Next meet Camille... a  Melancholy Moppet ... a  forgotten  soul.

And meet..... Marie.
These Curiosities and Moppets,  along with many  more are waiting for you in  the Lady Heather's Curiosities Page of  my Lacy Sunshine Shop

Enjoy your  day,  crafty mortals.

Until next time....

PNG Tutorial

Today's  post is   from Denise, one of my  amazing  fans.  It's  a  wonderful  PNG Tutorial.  It features  my Lacy Sunshine's  Digi Stamp titled "Hannah".

So  without  further  ado  here is  Denise's  tutorial.

Your digi's come in JPEG but some come in PNG! I hear some of you saying 'WHAT IS THAT?!
That means the background is transparent! Virtually not there but it is it's just invisible. I love these because I don't have to remove the background, and usually I like how it looks with the background removed. It's computer fussy cutting without getting too fussy! LOL!
I recently had someone telling me, I get the image and this ugly grey background.
The grey means it's transparent. If you preview your watermarks, you'll see grey around them. Your saying let's get on with it, aren't you?!
I'm using Lacy Sunshine's image Hannah (found here)
Heather told me PNG's are overlays (Perfect word)
A PNG can be overlaid on colored CS but if you have digital software you can make your own background.
COOL HUH!!! Give it a try!
Print it and color it!
Colored mine with prisma colored pencils and I love my digital software from Stampin' Up, MDS2

Now  if you would like to see  more  of  Denise's  crafty projects   please   visit her  blog.

Thank you   Denise   for  creating  this   tutorial.(big smiles)

Now if you  want   to create  with  my  Hannah  digi  stamp  you    can   find her  in my  Lacy Sunshine Shop.

Have a beautiful   crafting  day  everyone!

Until  next time...

Baby Boo.

A few   years   ago  I   created  my  Baby  Boo original  painting  featuring an  adorable  Halloween  Theme.    Here is  a picture of  the original  painting which sold  which I   hand painted with  acrylics on a  beautiful beveled oval  canvas.

It's been a  tradition of mine  each  year  to  create a new  Boo or  two.

After Pumpkin Boo  ... came  Franken Boo  and Kitty Boo.

Here is a pic of  the original  Franken Boo painting ...   which also sold and  is  a mixed  media  piece.. created on   stretch  canvas with  watercolors, acrylics,  inks and colored pencils.

Today   two new  Baby Boos   debut in my Lacy Sunshine  Shop......

Meet Angel Boo

and meet Christmas Boo.
These   two  Boos  along with Pumpkin  Boo  Digi  are   now available in my  Lacy Sunshine Shop.
